Moved by the suffering of countless human beings who used to come to Baba everyday, Baba established an organization to serve humanity, by the name of Sri Sarveshwari Samooh. In the beginning there was only the one Ashram in Banaras, with a free hospital for leprosy patients and a school of little children. Over the years many other Ashrams have been opened in various parts of India, all with the same goal of serving self-lessly all those who come to the ashram gates.

In the ashrams which Baba established in India and abroad, his monks carry on his way of living, dedicating themselves to his ideals for becoming real human beings. These monks continue Baba's social vision by their social services, and try to fulfill his hope for becoming real human beings by joining spiritual ideals with social ideals. Such an effort comes at a time when it is needed in both east and west alike. That is why Baba is referred to as a modern day saint.

An Ashram in the States

During one of his visits to the States, Aghoreshwar Bhagwan Ramji gave his blessing for one of his Ashrams in Sonoma, California in 1991. Baba Harihar Ramji (Hariji), one of his monks resides in the Ashram and continues to share Baba's teachings through living example. Those students who want to further their practices are given an Aghor mantra and are guided accordingly.

The Ashram also publishes a monthly newsletter, SRI SARVESHWARI TIMES, containing translation of Baba's talks that were given in Hindi. Several books that were authored by Baba in Hindi have been translated into English and are available by contacting the Ashram.
