读经一恭读依撒意亚先知书 7：10－14
那时候，上主又对阿哈次说：「你向上主你的天主要求一个征兆罢!或求诸阴府深处，或求诸上天高处。」阿哈次回答说：「我不要求，我不愿试探上主。」依撒意亚说：「达味的家族，你们听着罢!你们使人厌恶还不够，还要使我的天主厌恶吗﹖因此，吾主要亲自给你们一个征兆：看，有位贞女要怀孕生子，给他起名叫厄玛奴耳。

答：上主就要来到，他是光荣的君王。
领：大地和地上的万物属于上主，世界和世上的居民归
於上主。因为是他将大地奠立在海洋上，把大地安
置在江河间。答
领：谁能攀登上主的圣山？谁能侍立在他的圣殿？是那
手洁心净，不慕虚幻的人，是那不发虚誓，不怀诡
计的人。答
领：这样的人必蒙上主降福，必由拯救他的天主获得报

恭读圣路加福音1：26－38
到了第六个月，天使加俾额尔奉天主差遣，往加里肋亚一座名叫纳匝肋的城去，到一位童贞女那里，她已与达味家族中的一个名叫若瑟的男子订了婚，童贞女的名字叫玛利亚。天使进去向她说：「万福!充满恩宠者，上主与你同在!」【在女人中你是蒙祝福的。】她却因这话惊惶不安，便思虑这样的请安有什么意思。天使对她说：「玛利亚，不要害怕，因为你在天主前获得了宠幸。看，你将怀孕生子，并要给他起名叫耶稣。他将是伟大的，并被称为至高者的儿子，上主天主要把他祖先达味的御座赐给他。他要为王统治雅各伯家，直到永远；他的王权没有终结。」玛利亚便向天使说：「这事怎能成就?因为我不认识男人。」天使答复她说：「圣神要临于你，至高者的能力要庇荫你，因此，那要诞生的圣者，将称为天主的儿子。且看，你的亲戚依撒伯尔，她虽在老年，却怀了男胎，本月已六个月了，她原是素称不生育的因为在天主前没有不能的事。」玛利亚说：「看，上主的婢女，愿照你的话成就于我吧!」天使便离开她去了。 今日福音读经与主日的相同，主日已就福音作了反省，让我们在这集中於第一篇读经。
依撒意亚是否在宣布童贞女怀孕及耶稣诞生的讯息？也许先知并不自觉，但却展开了一段漫长的启示。这启示在玛窦和路加福音的耶稣童年史中，达到了高峰。
先知所说的「贞女」，原希伯来文字alma，泛指已婚、独身、贞女或非贞女的女性。依撒意亚先知书7:14说:「看，有位贞女（alma）要怀孕生子」，这当中要传递的最明显的一个讯息：昏君阿哈次有後，达味王朝不会终断。结果继位者是阿哈次的儿子希则克雅。希则克雅有别於其父，在公元前716-687年，在位期间，致力宗教改革，对内对外深得人心。先知借此作为徵兆，寓意上主不会抛弃他的子民。他还给孩子起了名字，叫「厄玛奴耳」，意即「上主与我们同在」。五百年後，依撒意亚先知书被翻译为希腊文。希腊文的alma只作「贞女」解，再不含希伯来文的泛意。玛窦福音1:23取用的依撒意亚先知书预言，正是希腊本。天主的启示成熟了：耶稣的确是一位贞女的儿子！
达味的钥匙开启了天主永恒国度的大门，
请也来释放黑暗牢狱中的俘虏。
亚肋路亚！ 进入将临期，我们都在欢喜地等待，等待救主圣诞的来临。在这个时候，重温圣母领报的场景，常让人兴奋不已。是啊，正是由于圣母的听命、配合，救主才顺利地来到人间，带给我们救赎的信息。在天主救世的伟大计划中，圣母起了巨大的作用。
但是，我们也看到，在圣母领报前，她也会对自己在这计划中所起的作用有所疑问，因为按照已知的自然规律，童贞女哪能怀孕生子呢？但是，当天使明明白白地告诉她，这是天主的旨意后，圣母立刻答说：“看，上主的婢女，愿照祢的话成就于我吧!”这是何等的信心啊。
日常生活中，我们也会遇到一些在我们本性认为是不好的事。对此，我们头脑中出现的第一个念头，大多是“怎么会是我”、“怎么偏偏发生在我的身上”。在我们很多人想来，成为教友，就应该是事事顺遂，无惊无险。于是，稍有不顺，便怀疑这，怀疑那。怀疑倒也算了，毕竟也是人之常情。但是，不顺利的境况稍多维持一段时间，有人对天主的信心便烟消云散了，于是，发狠不来教堂者有之，放言不再信主者有之，更有走火入魔转投他教者。不禁让人为他们信心之薄弱而悲哀。
其实，当圣母在说出“愿照祢的话成就于我”时，她心理活动应该只有两种，要么是她考虑到了这样答应后的结果——未婚生子，以及她所要承受的压力，但因着对天主的信心，她毅然决然地应承了下来；要么就是她对天主信心如此之大，根本就没有考虑到应承下来会有怎样的结果。但总而言之一句话，就是圣母信心非常之巨大。当然，事实上我们也看到了，天主还是给了圣母很好的安排，并没有让她承受太多的压力。耶稣也说过，“我的轭是轻柔的”；祂是不会让我们背负我们背不起的十字架的。所以，在读今天的福音时，我们在感叹圣母信心之大之后，更应提醒自己，如何向她学习，学习对天主的完全信靠。
主，求祢增加我们的信德和顺服的心，常能对天主的旨意慷慨地说：我愿意。 December 20, 2005

The LORD spoke to Ahaz:
Ask for a sign from the LORD, your God;
let it be deep as the nether world, or high as the sky!
But Ahaz answered,
“I will not ask! I will not tempt the LORD!”
Then Isaiah said:
Listen, O house of David!
Is it not enough for you to weary men,
must you also weary my God?
Therefore the Lord himself will give you this sign:
the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and shall name him Emmanuel.

Lk 1:26-38
In the sixth month,
the angel Gabriel was sent from God
to a town of Galilee called Nazareth,
to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph,
of the house of David,
and the virgin’s name was Mary.
And coming to her, he said,
“Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.”
But she was greatly troubled at what was said
and pondered what sort of greeting this might be.
Then the angel said to her,
“Do not be afraid, Mary,
for you have found favor with God.
Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son,
and you shall name him Jesus.
He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High,
and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father,
and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever,
and of his Kingdom there will be no end.”
But Mary said to the angel,
“How can this be,
since I have no relations with a man?”
And the angel said to her in reply,
“The Holy Spirit will come upon you,
and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.
Therefore the child to be born
will be called holy, the Son of God.
And behold, Elizabeth, your relative,
has also conceived a son in her old age,
and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren;
for nothing will be impossible for God.”
Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.
May it be done to me according to your word.”
Then the angel departed from her. 上帝保佑,阿门!
